
CUSTOMER CYBER PROTECTION GUIDE

Card Protection
- Never share your Card, PIN, One-Time PIN/Password, SIM card, or account details with anyone. Petron will never ask for these—even for promos or identity checks.
- Monitor your account activity on the PVC mobile app or internet browser.
- Sign the back of your Petron Card to prevent unauthorized use.
- In case of card cancellation or termination, you may surrender your card to Petron at its address provided in the contact information.
- For Fleet Cards, do not lend them to others. If the cardholder is absent, provide an authorization letter + valid ID with specimen signature.
- Report lost or stolen cards immediately:

USING PETRON APPS ON MOBILE DEVICES
- Download our Petron app/s only through official channels in the Android Google Play Store and iOS AppStore.
- Use biometrics (face/fingerprint) for extra protection.
- Avoid jailbroken or rooted devices.
- Scan only official Petron QR codes (from outlets or sales invoices).


ACCESSING PETRON SITES & APPS ON A COMPUTER
- Do not save your login details on public/shared computers.
- Always log off/sign out—do not just close the browser.
- Check for the padlock icon in your browser to ensure a secure connection.
- Double check that the website address is Petron’s official site (listed below.)
PROTECT YOUR IDENTITY
- Keep your Petron profile and contact details updated to receive important correspondence. Sensitive updates (name, mobile, email, birthday) may require identity verification. For assistance:

- Never share your passwords, PINs, or account details.
- Change your password every 90 days, or immediately if you notice suspicious activity.
- Mix it up! Use Uppercase + Lowercase + Numbers + Symbols (at least 8 characters).
A stronger password = a safer account.

BE CAREFUL OF SCAMS/PHISHING ATTEMPTS

BEWARE OF FAKE EMPLOYMENT OFFERS
Scammers may pose as Petron representatives to trick jobseekers with false offers or recruitment scams.
Important Reminders:
- Petron directly hires employees and announces vacancies only on:
- Petron will never require payment or fees during or after the recruitment process.
- Do not engage with suspicious job invitations or announcements.
If you encounter a fake job offer or suspicious posting, report it immediately to: recruitment@petron.com.
BEWARE OF VENDOR ACCREDITATION SCAMS
Scammers may impersonate Petron procurement staff to trick vendors into fake processes designed to steal sensitive information or money.
Important Reminders:
- Petron will never ask for fees, deposits, or payments for vendor accreditation.
- All official communications come only from verified Petron procurement representatives.
- Do not respond to, or click links in, suspicious emails, calls, or messages.
- Always verify through official channels before taking any action.
