Leg 3 of the 2019 Toyota Vios Racing Festival ended in exciting fashion with competitors having to deal with the challenges of driving on a wet track due to rainy weather on race day last August 31 at Clark International Speedway in Pampanga.
This was Round 2 of the Vios Circuit Championship and Round 3 of the Vios Autocross Challenge, with each one having three categories: Celebrity, Promotional, and Sporting for the former, and Social Media Personalities, Media, and Car Clubs for the latter.
Taking top spot in the Circuit Championship were: Celebrity Class – Troy Montero (Race 4 & 5), Daniel Matsunaga (Race 6); Promotional Class – Julian Tang (Race 4), Elysse Menorca (Race 5 & 6); Sporting Class – Red Diwa (Race 4), Eggy Ong (Race 5 & 6). In the Autocross Challenge, meanwhile, first place finishes went to Jules Aquino (Social Media Personalities), Jose Luis Altoveros (Media), and Carlos Iñigo Anton (Car Clubs).
The 2019 Vios Festival season kicked off last April 27-28 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City. Clark International Speedway is the venue for the succeeding legs, with Leg 2 held last June 7-8, Leg 3 on August 30-31, and Leg 4 scheduled for November 8-9.
